He also let us in on why CCA was dear to him..."I joined CCA roughly 15 years ago; I view serving others in difficult circumstances as my calling in life.The sad truth is, in the years I have been involved with CCA, I have not spoken to anyone that hasn't been effected in some way by cancer . I count it as a privilege to serve at an organization that is truly making a difference in the lives of so many of these precious people."

I joined Community Cancer mainly because it's a great organization that does wonderful work for those with cancer in McLennan County. Everyone these days is touched by cancer. My mother died from cancer as well as cousins and friends. Many others have had it and beat it. CCA is here to help those who need it, when the need it most.

"I spent my career as a teacher. The great thing about teaching is that it is a profession of helping people. After retiring, I was looking for a way to continue helping people and found CCA. It is a wonderful organization and assists individuals during a very trying time in their lives."
